Young Artists Chamber Music


The Kneisel Hall Young Artist Chamber Music Program is a rigorous seven-week chamber music program for fifty international pre-professional young artists (20 violinists, 9 violists, 14 cellists and 7 pianists) 18 years of age or older.

The summer is divided in two sessions each of which includes daily rehearsals, coachings, master classes, concerts and performances. In each session the young artists study in depth and perform two chamber works.

Maine Students


The Program for Maine Students is a chamber music program for Maine intermediate and advanced string and piano students. Students will be placed in chamber ensembles with a Kneisel Hall Young Artist college mentor while Kneisel Hall faculty oversee their work with daily coachings.

Join us for great chamber music making! June 21 – 27, 2015: Held on the Kneisel campus, this program has two parts: a one-day, June 21-22 session for string and piano students 9-12 years of age of intermediate ability and a five-day session, June 23-27, for string and piano students 12 – 19 years of age of advanced ability.

Both programs feature Kneisel Hall young artists as mentors, faculty coaching and a final participant program. The five day session includes master classes, piano 4-hands, mentor performances, sight-singing and eurhythmics. —More details

Adult Chamber Music Institute

acmi-homepageACMI – seven days of chamber music making on the picturesque Kneisel Hall campus for adult amateur musicians. Players are coached by dedicated faculty and Kneisel Hall young artist assistants/mentors.

We do offer a four-day session for people who do not have the time for a full week of music making. We invite you to come by yourself, with a preformed group or just a friend with whom you would like to play. You will spend your time at Kneisel Hall immersed in chamber music. It can’t get better than that! More details
