Meet Raman Ramakrishnan, cellist.
Raman returns as a performing member of the faculty during the second session of our Young Artist Chamber Music Program, July 21 – August 11, 2024.
In his words…
“This winter, pianist Thomas Sauer and I are presenting recitals that include the world premiere of Harold Meltzer’s “Casa Batlló,” a thorny and devilishly difficult work inspired by Gaudí. For any New Yorkers who are interested – we will be performing this at Bargemusic in Brooklyn on March 29.
I continue to play with the Boston Chamber Music Society. Past concerts were Feb 25 and March 17 at Sanders Theater. Upcoming concerts are April 7 in Sanders Theater and April 21 in Jordan Hall. I was thrilled to get to play the Kodaly Duo again with David Bowlin.
Coming up is the New York premiere of Joan Tower’s cello concerto, “A New Day,” with Camerata Notturna, as well as trips to Boston, Iowa, North Carolina, and South Carolina for chamber music concerts.
It has been a busy winter!
