A versatile performer, cellist DMITRY
Highlights of Mr. Kouzov recent seasons include his solo debuts with the Symphony Orchestra of St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Johannesburg and Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestras, recordings of cello concertos by Shostakovich and George Walker with the Sinfonia Varsovia and St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestras, as well as duo recitals in Moscow, St. Petersburg, New York and Chicago.
A consummate chamber musician, Mr. Kouzov has collaborated with Yuri Bashmet, Krzysztof Penderecki, Evgenii Sudbin, Joshua Bell, Nicholas Angelich, and Ilya Gringolts among others, and is a founding member of the award-winning Manhattan Piano Trio. Currently, Mr. Kouzov is an Associate Professor of Cello at the University of Illinois. He holds Master of Music Degree from the Sibelius Academy and an Artist Diploma degree from The Juilliard School.
