Meet cellist, Dmitry Kouzov.
Dmitry returns as a performing member of the cello faculty for our Young Artist Chamber Music Program in 2025.
In his words…
My few weeks at Kneisel Hall are always a highlight of my year.
I look forward to working with young artists, rehearsing and performing with my colleagues, and enjoying the beauty of Maine’s nature with my family—my favorite kind of nature and pastime!
Over the past thirteen years, Blue Hill has truly become my home away from home.
This year, after my time at Kneisel, I’m excited to teach my students at Oberlin while also staying in shape as a performer by playing over two dozen concerts in the U.S. and abroad.
This coming spring, I’m especially looking forward to performing the European premiere and recording a new cello concerto by Stephen Taylor with the chamber orchestra Camerata Novi Sad. It’s always a special feeling to be part of bringing a new cello piece to life!
