For our Week 7 Virtual Concert, we turn to the even more intimate side of chamber music. We affectionately present two works by Robert Schumann, a quintessential Romantic composer. His music is poetic, introspective and tender, as well as it is grand, full of wild passion and extreme contrasts. We hear the many facets of Schumann’s genius and humanness in his Fantasiestücke, Op. 73 and Violin Sonata No. 3, performed masterfully by Kneisel Hall’s faculty artists.
Tune in to our YouTube channel to listen to the Week 7 Virtual Concert, starting 7:30pm EDT, Saturday, August 21. The concert stream will be available on YouTube for one week.
This is the last of our Faculty Concert series for this summer, but not to worry – there will be dozens more hours of Kneisel Hall chamber music coming your way! Behind the scenes, our recording engineer extraordinaire, Jeremy Kinney, is preparing our Young Artist Concerts for online streaming. Meanwhile, check out Kneisel Hall’s Instagram and Facebook feeds to feast your eyes on the joyous scenes from our campus.
We can’t wait to share the music and stories from the unforgettable 7 weeks we had with our inimitable young artists! Stay tuned!
